Special Strides is located in Monroe Township. The current membership has chosen our 2013‐14 charity to be Special Strides, a non‐profit organization devoted to improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. It offers a wide variety of sports activities, such as football, volleyball, basketball and soccer. The school provides various language courses and special education. The funds are allocated to a charity of the members’ choice and to two scholarships that are given to MTHS Seniors. Monroe Township High School offers a wide variety of academic programs in arts and career technology, language arts, mathematics, social studies, and health and physical education. The members also participate in many service and fundraising projects throughout the year. All members tutor MTHS students after school Monday‐Thursday during the school year in the MTHS Media Center. The current members of the MTHS National Honor Society provide many services to the school and to the community. 2 teacher recommendations regarding character.30 hours of community service (completed during high school career).The National Honor Society is an organization that recognizes high school students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.Students who have a cumulative grade point average of a 90.0 or higher for their first 5 semesters of their high school career will be invited to apply to become a member of the National Honor Society.
